I'm always on the lookout for pieces that are unique, and of course modest at the same time. When I came across this jumpsuit on ASOS, I fell in love instantly. Modest? Check. Top over pants? Check.

I've been seeing this tunic-over-pants trend everywhere for a while now and I'm so glad it's here to stay. Not only is it modest but when styled well, it can look very fashion-forward and different. I love the way the belt cinches in at the waist so the fabric does not swallow me whole.

At first sight, this doesn't even appear to be a jumpsuit, so if you want to try a similar look but can't get your hands on this particular jumpsuit, all you have to do is find a tunic or pants in similar colours, layer them together and cinch it in with a belt.

My love of layering is no surprise to anyone that has met me. Even in the sweltering Bombay heat, I always try to find a way to make my outfit a little bit more interesting. Since the last post featuring Vajor was more towards the formal side, I decided to go for a casual look.

I love that I can always find modest pieces on Vajor's website, and when it comes to the summer nothing can be more perfect than light maxi dresses. In sandy shades that are being seen everywhere lately, perfect to bring a beach-y feel to your outfit especially if you can't bring yourself to the beach. I've recently been experimenting with layering crop tops over other clothes, and this maxi works perfectly since its lightweight and flowy.

The dress has also been layered under beautifully-printed sleeveless jackets on Vajor's website, perfect for those times you want to dress it up for a more formal occasion where you'll find yourself standing apart.

What I Wear to Workout

I can safely say I'm a noob when it comes to working out, let alone working out in a scarf. As far as modest workout-wear goes, as always comfort comes first. If I'm working out outdoors, I usually go for a long over-sized t-shirt with tights or joggers so I can feel comfortable doing any physical activity.

I've been seeing joggers everywhere lately, whether they're in the activewear category or a dressier take on the trend. I find these to be way more comfortable than tights, especially in the summer, and also a bit more modest. The tees I like to wear tend to be from the menswear section, as they're not only over-sized but longer as well. The next time you're in a store, have a look in the boys section and you'd be surprised to find a lot of cute stuff.

If you'd like to get active and workout outdoors, I'd recommend wearing a jersey scarf like I have in this post. They're stretchable so it helps to create any shape you want and does not slip from your head. I also like to pin the ends together so they stay down instead of flapping around. If you'd like more breathing room, you can also wear a loose turban with a high-neck top. I used to feel awkward about working out in a scarf in the beginning, but all it takes is one moment of awkwardness to take control of your life and live the way you want to live it.

I used to have one of the most unhealthy diets and somehow overtime I've managed to change my lifestyle. Let me know if you'd like me to do a post on how I got healthier or my fitness routine!

Rarely do I find myself falling hard at first sight for an item that is a statement piece, which is exactly what happened the moment I saw this Vajor tunic. The colour, the sleeves, the asymmetric hem and of course the movement were all of the reasons why I knew I had to have it in my closet.

I'm so happy with the way these photos turned out because for once the wind actually worked in my favour. I love the feeling of romance and the way the dress moves like a graceful jellyfish.

My first thought was to pair white jeans with it, but at the last moment my staple military green skinnies popped into my mind and I decided to go with my gut. Sometimes colour combinations you never thought could work surprise you, and make for a refreshing palette.

All of the components of the look; the blush bag, the khaki scarf, the white shoes came together to give the tunic its moment in the sun (or should I say wind?).
