Wrap Top/Jacket - Vero Moda | Jeans - ASOS | Bag - Mango | Shoes - Forever 21

Clearly there's somewhat of an olive obsession going on lately on the blog, but I can't help the fall feels even though the weather shows an endless summer.

I've had these flared jeans in my closet for a while pretty much because I haven't been able to figure out a way to wear them without seeming like I was from the 70s. Frankly, I'm very much over the whole 70s vibe we saw everywhere last season. Anything seventies all-over (or any era for that matter) just screams costume-y.

I'm more about being in the present lately, taking slight influences from different eras but pairing them in modern ways. What better way to combat the floaty bohemian feel of the 70s than with an army-coloured utility-inspired jacket. What drew me to this top was the wrap style and belt that feminised the entire look.

It doesn't feel like this olive green is going anywhere this A/W or even next summer for that matter, and I have no issues with that as I've already named it a new neutral.
